The 241st Military Police Detachment/2nd Military Working Dog Detachment recently finished a law enforcement training density week, the first of its kind in over five years at Fort Meade, MD.

During this week Military Police Soldiers conducted an M4/M17 range, including Limited Visibility fire with new equipment to include the Guardian Angel light for safety. SSG Cortes was recognized as the top shot and was the only Soldier to score a 40/40 with the rifle and 50/50 with the pistol.

The unit conducted an ACFT the next day where SGT Riggs was recognized with the highest ACFT in the unit. We followed that with CPR/AED and TCCC training to improve our ability to respond to medical emergencies within the MWD command.

Wrapping up the week, the unit held a legal brief and OC/Taser recertification to ensure quality application of Law Enforcement and proper implementation of force. The detachment also held a potluck to celebrate the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday with unit family members. During the potluck event, SGT Donahue was awarded with two Army Achievement Medals.
