Recently, MPRA sat down with Ms. Caitlyn Woodruff, a 2022 MPRA Scholarship recipient and current junior at the University of Missouri, to discuss how MPRA’s support has empowered her to reach her personal and professional goals. MPRA: Caitlyn, thank you for sitting down with us. Glad we could chat before you start your spring semester! Tell us a little about yourself:
Caitlyn Woodruff, University of Missouri Class of 2026, 2022 MPRA Scholarship recipient
CW: Hi! I’m Caitlyn Woodruff, a 20-year-old junior at the University of Missouri hailing from Waynesville, Missouri. MPRA: What are you studying? CW: Clinical and Diagnostic Sciences. MPRA: How did you learn about MPRA and our scholarship opportunities? CW: My dad, Gary Woodruff, a current MPRA member and veteran who served 23 years in the military. MPRA: What are your future goals? CW: My short-term goal is to graduate in May 2026, with a Bachelor of Science in Clinical and Diagnostic Sciences and begin my career in sonography. In the long term, I hope to continue my education in sonography and specialize in Echocardiography [ultrasound of the heart]. I’d like to specialize in several sections of anatomy including abdomen, breast, fetal echocardiography, obstetrics and gynecology, and pediatric sonography. MPRA: How has MPRA helped you achieve these goals? CW: MPRA has been an active support system and helped fund my college career. Rick Harne [MPRA’s Executive Director] has continuously checked in on me to ensure I was doing well. I know MPRA’s continued support will assist me in completing my upcoming semesters in the Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound program, which includes clinical practices and board examinations. MPRA: Anything else you’d like to add? CW: I’d like to thank the MPRA program for their continuous support of me throughout my time at the University of Missouri. Thank you, Caitlyn! We are honored to support you and can’t wait to celebrate all your future accomplishments. How can Military Police Regimental Association empower you?
